Europe Day of the „Hochtaunus“ District 2022 in Weilrod
The scent of Europe wafted over Weilrod on Saturday, 7 May 2022 from 11 am in beautiful weather. More than 40 stands of the twinning associations of the Hochtaunuskreis presented the ideals and special features of their twinning with their twin towns. Our Association for the Promotion of International Relations (VzFiB) was right in the middle of it all! In addition to information about our three twin towns Saint-Florent-sur-Chèr, Šentjur and Thalgau, delicious crèpes tempted everyone and everyone could try out for themselves how the delicious French pastry is made on a hot plate.
The Europa AG of the Adolf Reichwein School (ARS) supported the VzFiB stand and presented 14 creatively made pictures about the German-French friendship.
The most prominent visitor was District Administrator Ulrich Krebs, who took the opportunity to personally inspect all the association stands. He was accompanied by several high-ranking state politicians and the mayors of the Hochtaunus district, such as Thomas Pauli (BGM Neu-Anspach), Götz Esser (BGM Weilrod), Gregor Sommer (BGM Wehrheim).
The fact that the partnership between Neu-Anspach and Saint-Florent-sur-Chèr has existed for 40 years and that the festivities will be celebrated in autumn was of particular interest.
